A scooter trekker, where mostly the left mirror and some hair is visible, can be found on Hatiya Island.
Christmas Island has two types of coverage: car coverage and a couple of trekkers.
The car coverage was done with a unique Google car: a silver pickup truck, with the bed of the truck visible. Usually, this is all you need to identify Christmas Island.
This white car with the rear edges visible is found in Bantam.
NOTE: The car may be fully blurred. Make sure to look out for other clues before guessing.
The Cocos Islands runway can be recognized by it being the widest paved road on the island, with mowed grass on both sides of the runway and this follow car.

A yellow follow car with two front windows can be seen trailing the Google truck on RN 2 east of Palmar Norte and halfway up to Buenos Aires. The river valley also makes this section of road unique.
You can spot Rainbolt himself, or the filming crew atop a black Toyota around the town of La Fortuna, Alajuela Province.
You can find this rare white and black Generation 4 car in Hamburg and around Frankfurt.

Smallcam imagery on the islands of Kauaʻi, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi was captured by a white car. Just like with the black car, you will often be able to see the unblurred hood and mirrors.
A white SUV with black bars and a wooden plank on the roof can rarely be seen in eastern Bali.
A significant portion of the coverage in the West Bank has a visible security follow car. The most extensive of these is a small white Suzuki, which is found in the central and southern regions.
Another follow car is a small dark blue Ford, which is found in the northwest.
This larger white Citroën follow car with a West Bank licence plate can be found in a region surrounding Jerusalem. It is noticeably found in the cities of Bethlehem and Ramallah.
NOTE: The side of this car features the text “SECURITY” in a bold font. Furthermore, this coverage will always feature a black Street View car with no antenna.
This grey Hyundai follow car is unique to Rahat.
On a lot of the coverage you will see a grey Toyota SUV following the Street View car.
A visible black car can be found in and around Zahle.
Two pieces of coverage can be recognized by two people following the trekker; one with a yellow tank top and one with a blue T-shirt. The first of these two parts is located in the town of St Augustin.
Google used a weird, low-quality camera on Madeira, commonly known as the official Ari (or "shitcam"). It has a wide circular car blur and makes the image appear rather gloomy. On Madeira, you will often see the unblurred back of a white car.
A good map will usually not include this coverage, but it is good to be aware of its existence, in order not to be caught off-guard.
This red Street View car with a black roof can be found in the town of La Seca in Sinaloa.
The Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, in the far south of Mongolia, features bright orange sand and sand dunes. There are two separate spots covered in the park: one in the middle just north of Sevrei, which has distant southern mountains, and the other in the far southwest corner of the park, which has a Jeep follow car.
The Google Car can be seen chasing this police car on the P15, between Lovcen National Park and Čevo.
An orange car with a blue ribbon on the front is found around Biratnagar.
State Highway 73, located near Arthur’s Pass, can be recognised by the almost dried out river with an abundance of gravel on the river bed. Additionally, the Street View car in Arthur’s Pass drove behind a black pickup truck with two ladders on its roof.
A police car, most commonly white or black, can almost always be seen following the Street View car. The follow cars may differ slightly from the ones shown in the image.
A flat landscape with coastal vegetation and many palms can be seen east of Lekki. The ground is very sandy. Almost all of the coverage is old Generation 3, with a silver follow car.
This map shows where each old Generation 3 follow car can be found. They are uncommon, but can still be useful to know.
NOTE: The A121 is not shown on the map as it is recognizable from other clues. This silver Lexus, not shown on the map, can rarely be seen on the highway between Onitsha and Enugu.
A green truck is visible behind the Google Car for a portion of the E-65. The truck is visible from Kichevo to Arbinovo.
For some of the E-75 north of Veles, there are triple yellow lines with a dashed centre line. In the northern part of the road, there is a yellow-truck following the Google car.
The rest of the road is either under construction or newly paved. This road is very similar to the A3 east of Veles, although that one is much flatter and has an arid landscape surrounding it.
You may find this grey car, with a visible right side, driving around Lahore Fort in the north of Lahore.
NOTE: This is considered hidden coverage, as it can not be accessed normally on Google Maps. It can however be accessed in the Map Making App and is still included in some community-made maps.
Generation 4 red car is the most common generation 4 car meta, found primarily east around Khanty-Mansi, as well as along the main highways down to Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude. There is also a sizable patch near Penza and Tatarstan, as well as Rostov-on-Don.
The Khabarovsk-Vanino road has a mountainous landscape with very sunny coverage. It also drives west with a black car with a blurred, long antenna, which helps to confirm.
A trekker can be seen holding on to a red car heading up a winding road, south of the Svalbard Airport. If the car is not present, this distinct line of mountains to the northeast is a good indicator that you are there.
Most Generation 3 coverage has no visible Street View car.
NOTE: Vientiane and some Generation 3 coverage in Cambodia will also not have a visible car. Bike trekkers and a white car with a brake light can rarely be found all throughout the country in Generation 3.
Tunisian licence plates are black with white text.
NOTE: Military plates feature a small Tunisian flag on the left side of the plate, which is visible on the dark green follow car.
One of the best ways to recognize Tunisia is that, in most coverage, the Google car is escorted by a follow car.
There are several different follow cars and these are four of the most commonly found ones.
NOTE: Follow cars can be in front of the street view car, or very far behind. Make sure to pan and zoom if you do not find them immediately.
This light green Toyota follow car can be found everywhere in the northernmost part of Tunisia. You will never see it south of Hammamet.
The dark green Mazda is the most common follow car in Tunisia. This becomes apparent if you look at the coverage map, it can be found all the way from Hammamet to Djerba. Aside from the darker colour, it can also be recognized by its military licence plate with a red strip on the left.
Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, has a lot of different follow cars. Most of them can be found all over the city. The light green Toyota can also be spotted here.
The city of Kairouan in central-northern Tunisia has this unique follow car, a white Mitsubishi with white mirrors. The dark green follow car can also sometimes be spotted following the Mitsubishi.
NOTE: Some white follow cars in Tunisia can look similar to the Kairouan car. However, none of them are Mitsubishis.
The island of Djerba is the only region of Tunisia where you are usually not accompanied by a follow car. Most coverage completely lacks one.
While it is rare, this white Mercedes and the dark green follow car can be present.
In almost all Generation 3 coverage, a white car with visible black roof racks was used.
NOTE: The UAE is the only Middle Eastern country where a white Google car can be found.
You can also find regular Generation 4 coverage taken with a black car. The brake light is commonly visible.
NOTE: A similar Generation 4 black car can be found in Israel.
As part of a promotional campaign, the TransAmerica Trail from Oregon to North Carolina was covered by a Ford Bronco. The car can recognised by its unblurred black roof and red hood, and is mostly found on unpaved rural roads.
Looking backwards, you will see two other Ford SUVs escorting the camera car.
